Every year we get the opportunity to show appreciation for the special nurses and teachers in our lives during National Teacher Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week.

Did you know there are over 3.1 million teachers in the United States? Teachers change the lives of the almost 50 million students every day, and their impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. They play a pivotal role in the lives of children, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery.  This week gives students, parents, and partners like us at DocNetwork, a special opportunity to recognize the hard work teachers do all year long.

Similarly, there are more than 4 million nurses in the United States, helping care for family, friends and co-workers in hospitals, schools, camps, and every place in-between. Nurses help in all aspects of patient care, case management, and treatment planning. This week provides a great chance to show appreciation for a nurse that has impacted your life in some way.

Need some ideas? Here are a couple of simple ways you can show your appreciation:

  • Send a thank you note to your favorite teacher or nurse letting them know how special they are and why you appreciate them.
  • Ask your favorite teacher or nurse how their day is going. Such a simple yet kind thing can make a dramatic difference in their day.
  • Volunteer to help your favorite teacher or nurse to show your appreciation.

Join us at DocNetwork as we recognize, celebrate, and show our appreciation for the special teachers and nurses in our lives. Wishing you a happy National Teacher Appreciation and National Nurses week!
